• Do you make your own food or does an outside company?
  We have operated in-house for over 28 years.
• Who should I contact if I'm on a special diet?  
  Call x8512 to setup an appointment with our Dietition.
• I am sick, how do I get meals? 
  Contact Student Health Services and they will make arrangements with the Dining Center for your meals.
• What are the requirements for each type of meal plan?
  Your housing assignment determines your meal plan.  Requirements are the following:
  Residence Hall, Atlantic House, and Outdoor House - students will have the Spider Premium automatically assigned; you may upgrade to Spider Deluxe or Spider Extreme.
  Law Dorm - students may choose from the Spider Deluxe, Spider Premium, Spider Extreme (for seniors only), or the Spider Flex.
  University Forest Apartment - students may choose from the Spider Deluxe, Spider Premium, Spider Extreme (for seniors only), Spider Flex, or waive the meal plan option.
  Off-Campus and Honey Tree - students may choose any plan or waive meal plan participation.
• Where can I use my meal punches and "Dining Dollars"?
  You can use your meal punches up to a specific dollar amount at:
  Tyler's Grill - Breakfast $4.60, Lunch and Dinner $6.05
  The Cellar - Dinner $7.00 (at most twice a week with Spider Deluxe or Spider 300 plan)
  HDC - Spidercard and guest card rates: Breakfast $4.75, Lunch $6.50, and Dinner $8.00. Individuals with Flex plan, Faculty, and Staff with UR ID rates: Breakfast $4.50, Lunch $5.25, Dinner $6.75.
  Your "Dining Dollars" can be used within the limit of your meal plan's allowance of "Dining Dollars" at Tyler's Grill, The Cellar, HDC, 8:15 at Boatwright, Freshens, ETC, and Whitehurst.
• Can I give my card to a friend to buy a meal?
  Meal plans and "Dining Dollars" are non-transferable and may only be used by the ID holder.
• What happens if I have leftover "Dining Dollars" on my meal plan at the end of the semester?
  Unused meals or "Dining Dollars" do not roll over from semester to semester and are non-refundable.
• I am student teaching and have to skip lunch every day.  Can I get a bagged lunch?
  Absolutely!  Contact the Dining Center at extension 8512 and you can pick up a bagged lunch on your way to student teaching.
• I have lost my ID card, what should I do? 
  During the week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm you must go to the One Card Office located on the 3rd floor in the Tyler Hayne's Building.  During off hours and on weekends you can sign in at The Heilman Dining Center and your card will be terminated so no one else can use it.
