Meal Plan Assignments

New students living in residence halls, the Pacific House, and the Earth Lodge (Lakeview Hall) will be automatically assigned the Spider 17 meal plan and may upgrade to the Spider Unlimited.

Returning students on meal plans will be automatically assigned a meal plan comparable to their plan from the previous semester.

A student's housing assignment determines meal plan requirements as follows:

2013-2014 Meal Plans

Spider Unlimited          $3,210.00 Per semester

The Spider Unlimited is the best plan for busy students who need lots of flexibility. You get unlimited meals at the Heilman Dining Center, plus $875 Dining Dollars to be used at any Dining Services retail location. Includes two bonus guest meals per semester. 

Spider 17          $2,810.00 Per semester

All new incoming students are automatically assigned to this plan. Students may upgrade to the new Spider Unlimited for more flexibility. This traditional meal plan includes 17 meals per week at the Heilman Dining Center, plus $710 Dining Dollars to be used at any Dining Services retail locations. Includes two bonus guest meals per semester.

Spider 50          $1,520.00 Per semester

The Spider 50 is perfect for students who live in University Forest Apartments.  Spider 50 includes 50 meals at the Heilman Dining Center and $875 Dining Dollars to be used at any Dining Servcies retail location

Spider Blue          $790.00 Per semester

This plan is designed for off-campus commuting students and includes $790 Dining Dollars to be used at any Dining Services retail location or to purchase discounted meals at the Heilman Dining Center.

Spider Red          $400.00 Per semester

This  meal plan is exclusively for commuting SCS, MBA, and Law students. This plan includes $400 Dining Dollars to be used at any Dining Services retail location or for discounted meals at the Heilman Dining Center.

Why buy a Spider 50, Red or Blue Meal Plan?

Save $2.50 a day or more…..
For non-residential students and students living in University Forest Apartments you are not required to purchase a meal plan.  However, all purchases with Dining Dollars at dine-in or retail operations on campus are tax free.  That saves you 11% on each dine-in purchase or as much as 5.5 % for retail purchases. 

At Heilman Dining Center, you get discounted meals when you use Dining Dollars. For example; if you paid cash for lunch Monday-Friday at Heilman it would cost $45.00 or if you used Dining Dollars on your Spider 50, Red or Blue Meal Plan it would cost $32.50 for a savings of $12.50 a week or $2.50 a day.  The more meals you purchase weekly, the more you save.
