IS COLLEGE MAKING YOU HUNGRY?
Meal Plans 2009-2010 |
All undergraduate students living on campus, except those residing in the University Forest Apartments, are required to participate in a meal plan based on their housing assignment and class rank. Residence hall meal plans are designed to provide for student's basic meal needs throughout the week. 'Dining dollars' are offered as part of all the meal plans to provide for additional meals as needed. For most busy students, upgraded meal plans with additional 'dining dollars' provide for late night dining and snacks, specialty coffee at the library and to purchase much needed grocery and personal items at the retail outlets on campus. Students are encouraged to choose the plan that best meets their own individual needs.
Meal exchanges on the Premium meal plan may be used from 7:15am until 9pm Monday- Friday and on weekends from 10:30am to 8:00pm (Saturdays until 8:00pm and most Sundays until 9:00pm) whenever class is in session. The Deluxe and Extreme Meal Plans provide use of additional meal exchanges between 9:00pm and 1:00am when classes are in session (see Meal Plans at a Glance for specifics). Service during official University break periods may not be offered or may be limited due to low demand. Service may be limited or unavailable during academic breaks. Meal plans expire at the end of each academic semester.
There are 21 meal periods per week and students may use up to two meal punches during any one meal period. Guest meals can also be purchased with 'dining dollars' at the full door rate.
The One-Card serves as your meal card, debit card, student ID and may only be used by the individual to whom it is issued.
Students' Responsibilities
University Dining facilities are a great place to dine, socialize with your friends, study or just relax. We are committed to providing everyone who dines with us a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Behavior concerns are rare, but it is important that everyone understands our guest and staff expectations. Please review the following:
The University expects that all students, as well as the employees, conduct themselves in a pleasant and considerate manner for the benefit of everyone using the Dining Service facilities. Working for Dining Services, purchasing a meal plan or making a cash purchase of food or beverages, is considered a statement of willingness to comply with our conduct expectations. A brief but not inclusive listing of unacceptable behavior is:
- Profanity, intoxication or attempt to bring alcoholic beverages or illegal substances into any Dining Services' operation
- The unauthorized removal or misuse of food, serviceware, or Dining Services property from the any Dining Services' location. Dining Services reserves the right to assess charges or fines for the unauthorized removal of equipment, food or serviceware.
- Failing to pay or process your One-Card or meal card appropriately for meals or purchases
- Excessively loud, abusive, or disorderly behavior
- Failure to present an ID upon request
- Damaging of University property
Individuals infringing upon the rights of others by failing to comply with these policies may have their dining privileges revoked without refund and may be referred to the appropriate Dean, Department Head, or the Director of Dining Services for further action.
