Policies & Procedures

Changes in Meal Plan:

  • Students may make one additional change via Banner Web from April 27-June 12 for the fall semester and two weeks in mid October for the spring semster. Dates will be announced in Spider Bytes and are subject to change.

  • First year students will be able to make changes June 25-July 2.

  • Students must meet the eligibility requirements for the change they select.

  • Request for changes between the plans after the official dates must be made prior to the Add Drop Date and may incur a late change fee if granted.

Housing Changes:

  • You may not change or cancel your meal plan if you move off campus during the course of the semester except under certain circumstances.
  • You must notify the One-Card Services Office before the deadline for meal plan changes if you wish to change or cancel your meal plan for the next semester.

You may change or cancel your meal plan during a semester only under the following circumstances:

  • A vacancy becomes available in University Forest Apartments and is offered to you by the Housing office.
  • You have been granted permission by the Dean and Housing Director to move off campus and have housing fees waived due to health reasons.

It is the student's responsibility to notify the One-Card Services office immediately if you need to change or cancel a meal plan based on the criteria listed above.  If any adjustment is approved it will be based on the date of notification.

 Policies on all Meal Plans:

  • Full scholarship athletes may be required to select the Spider Premium plan.
  • Meal plans are priced to support the operation of all food venues on campus on a semester basis.  Unused meals or 'dining dollars' do not roll over semester to semester and are non refundable
  • Please note that selection of the Spider Deluxe and Spider Extreme will result in an additional expense beyond the  the Spider Premium that may not be covered by scholarship funds.
  • A meal plan week runs Monday-Sunday and students may use up to two meals per any meal period.
  • Meals and 'dining dollars' expire each semester following the completion of undergraduate finals or graduation if you are a graduating senior.
  • Meal service over academic breaks is not provided as part of the meal plan agreements although limited service maybe available on a case by case basis.
  • Meal plan partcipation is required as part of the residence hall housing agreement. A registered dietician works individually with meal plan students with dietary restrictions at no additional charge.  Reasonable menu accomodations that are medically based will be made whenever possible.
  • Abuse of your meal plan or Student ID may result in the suspension of campus dining privileges without refund. Only authorized carryout food from the Heilman Dining Center is permitted and student ID cards are not transferable.
  • Student IDs are not transferrable.
