Welcome to our new community exchange of recipes, entertaining and cooking ideas
.
 

Throughout the year we (Dining Services) consistently get numerous request for recipes, tertaining ideas
and just some basic cooking hints or methods.  On the University of Richmond campus we have
a wealth of resources including an award-winning Dining Services, several certified chefs in house,
a world class catering department and on top of that, a whole lot of people who like food!  Using these resources
we will be providing a series of events, mini-classes or demonstrations over lunch with everything from
dipping strawberries to folding napkins.  The events will be reservation only with very limited numbers to keep
our classes smaller.  We invite you to treat yourself to these events and to be a part of our community of 'foodies'.

Holiday Entertaining

For our final event this semester on November 4th was as good as it sounds!  I think everyone has some good ideas for their own holiday entertaining. 

The fruit display was incredible (see picture at left), many thanks to Meghan Zazakos from catering for that.  We hope she is going to do a demo for us in the spring!
The meat and cheese display was just as fabulous.  We didn't even want to mess it up but we did and it was delicious.  Don't forget the Brie- yes that and all the recipes will be available on line soon!

Fall Feasting- October 7

in the Richmond Room, 11:30am- 1:30pm

Fall has to be one of our favorite times of the year. 
We love all those delicious holidays and fall flavors. 
So join us as we explore some different
solutions to fall menus planning. 
Our management interns prepared:

Pork Roulade with a Cornbread & Cranberry Stuffing
Salmon encrusted with Potatoes
(they demonstrated how to do both of these)
Mashed Parsnips
Braised Dinosaur Kale
Butternut Squash
Sweet Potato Biscuits with your choice of
Honey Butter, Apple Butter or Pumpkin Butter

September's Tailgating Spider Style was a great success. 
Somebody won tickets to the Spider's season opener and we all
know how that turned out!!! Go Spiders!
