Chris White is the PM Sous Chef at the University of Richmond’s Heilman Dining Center. White is responsible for the production and execution of dinner, as well as ensuring the highest quality of food is always provided. White attended Longwood University, where he received his B.S. in Sociology in 2016. In 2023, he won a bronze medal at the National Association of College and University Food Services Culinary Challenge. “Having studied the influence food and community have on each other, I'm driven to further my knowledge of other cultures to bring such experiences to the guests and this program,” White said. “Beyond the food, I ensure that all our staff feel included in the best environment to grow and learn." White’s favorite food is "Seoul Food", a fusion of American Southern food and Southeast Asian cuisine. In his free time, White enjoys fishing, spending time in the kitchen with his brother (also a chef), and playing with his cats two cats, Rinny and Murphy.
