    Michael Scampoli is a café manager at The Cellar, assisting with everything to overseeing staff to making food orders. “From getting ready to open to closing down at the end of the night, I love it all,” Scampoli said of his role with Dining Services. “Being able to cook and be a part of the menu process is very rewarding. Seeing new student employees grow and become an integral part of the team is a bonus.” Scampoli earned his Culinary Arts Certificate at Virginia College in 2012 and his ServSafe certification in 2022. He won a silver medal at the 2017 Chef Culinary Conference. In his free time, Scampoli is a family man who enjoys watching sports, especially football and hockey, with his wife and two children.
