Tyler Betzhold brings more than 20 years of dining leadership experience, including 17 years with the University. During his time at Richmond, Tyler has served in several key roles within Dining Services, including Senior Catering Chef, Executive Chef, and Interim Executive Director.
Betzhold oversees the planning of residential dining, retail dining, and catering operations across campus, which includes menu development, quality assurance, team building, staffing, training, design, and daily operations. Betzhold also works with the campus community to ensure customer satisfaction.
Still a chef at heart, Betzhold is inspired by global cuisines and flavors. His passion lies in offering fresh, sustainable, healthy dishes that can be scaled up for large-scale foodservice operations. Betzhold also appreciates that no day in the Dining Services is ever the same. In his free time, Betzhold enjoys being with his family and traveling to Canada.
